I am having a boy AND a girl! London came with Kyle and me to the gender ultrasound. She was so intrigued, asking, "Mom, what's that?"
"That's your little brother's head."
"Awwwwh! It's SO CUTE!"
"What's that?" she asked the ultrasound technician.
"That's your little sister's belly."
"Actually, Bellie isn't in Mommy's tummy anymore. She already was born earlier."
We had a good laugh.
Both babies are really healthy and big- baby girl is in the 78th percentile and baby boy in the 74th. My doctor is thrilled.

17 weeks---- 3 weeks ago! |
Kyle claims that I'm even more excited than he is to have a boy. Over the past four years, I've watched him go from--"I have never changed a diaper in my life." to---- "London, you look like a beautiful princess, and I love your sparkly nails!" He has become such a tender, sensitive father, and I want to see what that looks like with a sweet baby boy.

Easter Sunday- and Elle's first day in Nursery! |
Naming two babies at once is like trying to pat your head while rubbing your stomach. I promised Kyle that after vetoing it twice in a row, the next girl we had would be named Holland. The problem is, Holland is such a strong name on its own that I can't find boy names that
go with it. [
You know what I mean---
every set of twins you know is referred to in the same order by everyone, always together.] [The stress is agonizing!] I am up for ANY and ALL suggestions.

She is obsessed with this Ariel baby doll. Thanks, Shannon! |
I am feeling much better these days, just very very very tired. The smallest activity leaves me crawling to my bed to rest and recover. I sleep like a hibernating bear. I nap while Elle naps, every day. If I'm still sleeping when Elle wakes up, London has taken it upon herself to go into Elle's room and entertain her. She sings primary songs, practices her shuffle-step, makes silly noises, has all of Elle's stuffed animals talking to one another...whatever it takes to keep Elle happy until I finally awake from my coma. London picks up things when I drop them or can't reach them, always declaring, "I got it, Mom. I know you can't
really bend over because you have TWO babies in your tummy!" That girl. I'd be lost without her.

After hours of reading books, 101 Dalmations saves my life. |

I flew to San Diego to watch my amazing brother play LINK in Hairspray! |

London and Kennedy at High School Musical- she asked if she could talk to a cheerleader to tell her she was really good at singing and dancing. |
I have to make it to July 6th. Twenty weeks down and fourteen to go. And now I'm going back to bed...

Everything about this post just makes me happy! I love you and I love your family!! I wish that we could love closer so our babies could all be best friends and marry each other... Someday :) boy/girl twins will be so fun! Congrats!
How exciting! So happy for you guys :)
The name that keeps popping up in my head (to go with Holland) is Dallin. Maybe I like it because they're both apostles. Haha. Good luck!
